A San Bernardino jury awarded $31.5 million to a 66-year old Lancaster resident who suffered an injury after an automobile accident in Pinon Hills, California.
In addition to the driver of the vehicle that struck him, the Lancaster resident sued the state of California, citing a dangerous intersection that contributed to the accident. The jury found that the driver who struck the plaintiff was 85% responsible and that the state was 15% responsible for the plaintiff’s damages
The plaintiff will require around the clock nursing care for the remainder of his life, his attorney said.
